On Saturday evening, 18 October 2018, a group of Palestinian and Syrian young residents of Sidon performed the play Our Vast Dreams at the Al-Awda Cultural Foundation in Sidon, Southern Lebanon. In this performance, young people shared their stories about displacement, the chaos of the Diaspora, and the mirage of existence and nonexistence from Palestine, to Syria, and to refugee camps in Lebanon. The performance is a culmination of a training workshop on art of the theatre, organised and supervised by the Minwal Theatre Company. The event was part of second version of the Seba (Selat: Links through the Arts grant to organisations – 6th edition). Actors and actresses included Anas Ali, Bilal Qasem, Rasha Mar’i, Rana Mousa, Tala al-Dadu, Abdul Ghani Mohammed Abu Ghani, Adnan Shinar, Malek al-Ali, Mohammed Abdu, Munir al-Sirwan, Natalie Hourani, Nirmeen Hasan, and Hind Hanafi. On Sunday evening, 19 October 2018, another performance was showcased at Dar El-Nimer for Arts and Culture, Beirut. Both performances were very well received by audiences in both cities.
