CAP supported participation of Future Logic, a platform for the development of Palestinian cinema, at the Cannes Film Festival on 11-20 May. All sharing the common theme of Palestine, seven documentary and feature films were screened at the festival. The event brought together film directors and producers of Future Logic, including Mohanad Yaqubi, Raed Andoni, Mahdi Fleifel, Sami Said, Bassam Jarbawi, and May Odeh. To recruit funding for these projects, films were shown to 300 international producers and directors.
Filmmakers Ramzi Maqdisi and Mahasen Nasser-Eldin were selected for the 2016 artist residencies at the Cité Internationale des Arts (International City of Arts). These were offered in collaboration with the Paris Municipality and Consulate General of France in Jerusalem. Raneem Turjman was also chosen for the artist residency at UNIDEE - University of Ideas, the formative residential programme developed by Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto, in Biella, Italy.
