Between 31 March and 2 April, Walid and Helen Kattan Science Education Project (WHK) participated in the Nowwar Nissan Festival. This year’s version of the festival was named The Sea and Us. In partnership with AMQF and several local community institutions, the festival was organised by the Ramallah Municipality, Sareyyet Ramallah (First Ramallah Group), Popular Art Centre, and Tamer Institute For Community Education.
WHK took part in a set of distinctive scientific activities, including interactive scientific exhibits and experiments on shade and colour blending. Visitors also produced handicrafts using coloured paper, spaghetti and colours, and made pictures of fish and the sea. The festival also included Hakawati (storytelling) activities, popular dance training workshops, making musical instruments, circus exercises, films, and a lot more.
