QCC organised, on 11 February, a Medical Day for Children in its headquarters in Gaza. The event was held in cooperation with The International Federation of Medical Students at the Palestine Medical College in Al-Azhar University, Gaza, in an effort to encourage voluntary and community initiatives, make use of young competences, introduce children to First Aid and help them overcome the fear barrier of doctors.
The Medical Day featured interactive activities which allowed children to put themselves in doctors’ shoes and discover a number of medical services. It also featured a play which introduced them to the digestive system, its functions and a number of health guidelines for a healthy digestive system. A discussion followed between children and medical students regarding their experience in the fields of science and medicine.
