The Qattan Centre for the Child and Tamer Institute for Community Education (TICE) participated in a workshop entitled ‘Reading is Fun’, organised by the Goethe Institute at the Centre on 20 May.

The workshop was supervised by German trainer Gabriella Holm from Goethe Institute, and aimed to enable professionals in the field of children and childcare to use an interactive process to encourage children to enjoy reading. Twenty four trainees from QCC and the TICE took part in the training.

The workshop coincided with the arrival of the mobile library bus, as part of the Mobile Library project organised by the Centre in partnership with the Goethe Institute for the fourth consecutive year. The mobile library seeks to reach children in remote areas of Gaza Strip, and aims to widen the cultural, artistic, and creative horizons of children by developing their reading and self-learning skills.
