The Culture and the Arts Programme (CAP) organised a tour for the dance performance Badke in Palestine. The tour began with a performance in Nazareth on 23 April at the Mahmoud Darwish Cultural Centre, followed by a performance on 26 April at the Palestinian National Theatre (Al-Hakawati) in Jerusalem.

 

The 9th Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival concluded on 29 April with Badke at the Ramallah Cultural Palace. Badke received a huge and enthusiastic welcome from the audiences, which reached around 1,200 people in the 3 venues.

 

The Belgian-Palestinian dance production, is an artistic collaboration between the Royal Flemish Theater - KVS (Brussels), Les Ballets C de la B (Ghent) and the A. M. Qattan Foundation. Badke is the production of the 8th round of the Performing Arts Summer School (PASS), that was organised between 30/7-27/8 2012. It was supervised by Koen Augustijnen, Rosalba Torres (les ballets C de la B), Hildegard De Vuyst (KVS), and Nisreen Nafaa (A. M. Qattan Foundation), in cooperation with 11 Palestinian performers from various disciplines including contemporary dance, hip hop and circus.
