On 3 March, the Qattan Centre for the Child concluded the School Library Week, which aimed at encouraging reading and promoting awareness of the importance of libraries. Children from primary and middle schools participated in the events in addition to visitors from organisations, schools and kindergartens from different parts of the Gaza strip.
The Centre also participated in a 4-day Book Fair entitled 'Gaza, City of Hashem' as part of the Library Week. The book fair was organised by the General Directorate of Cultural Affairs and Centers and in cooperation with the Gaza municipality library, and was attended by many different publishing houses and cultural centres.
The Centre participated in the book fair with a collection of books dedicated to children of different age-groups. Moreover, the Centre organised cultural and artistic activities such as book readings and freehand drawing classes.
