On 22 August, the Nilin Teachers Centre hosted a Children's Singing Day as part of the Palestine Choral Festival, with 150 children from Palestinian and international choirs including the Choir of London, The Australian Voices, Abboud Church Choir, Yasmine Buds - Jerusalem, Beit Reema Choir and the Choir of Nablus.

A number of workshops were held in preparation for the festival. Children from all over the area were rehearsing to sing various songs under the supervision of choral leaders Jessie Maryon-Davies (UK), Diego Alamar (Spain), Maya Khaldi (Palestine) and a number of volunteering artists.
