Home In Qattan News Screenings of PSP Films at Mosaic Rooms

On 11 and 18 July  the Mosaic Rooms in London hosted seven short films screenings by young filmmakers from Palestine. Screenings included: Ismail by Nora Alsharif, Maqloubeh by Nicolas Damouni, Sound Man by Khalil Al-Mozain, Flower Seller by Ihab Jadallah, The Well by Ahmad Habash, Haneen by Osama Bawardi, and Izriqaq by Rama Mari.

These films were produced as part of the Production Support Project (PSP) which began in 2009 Culture and Arts Programme (CAP). The PSP provides support for aspiring Palestinian filmmakers to make their first fiction shorts, both in cash and in kind. Also, as part of PSP, CAP acquired a grip and lighting equipment bank, which is loaned to filmmakers on a regular basis. The bank is the only one of its size in the Occupied Territories.

The PSP has thus far supported the production of nine short fiction films and is in co-funding partnership with the Representative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
