The Mosaic Rooms programme for May saw a number of successful literary events. Dr Hisham Khatib launched his new book ‘Jerusalem Palestine &  Jordan’ which gave the audience a glimpse into his distinguished art collection of paintings, maps, lithographs and more. There was the delicious ‘Gaza Kitchen’ by Laila el-Haddad and Maggie Schmitt, and the delightful dessert recipe collection from Sarah al-Hamad ‘Sun Bread and Sticky Toffee’.  Further, Jeremy Scahill launched his controversial expose,‘Drity Wars: The World is a Battlefield’ to a full house, and Writing Revolutions sparked some interesting reflections on the recent uprisings. The film programme included screenings of The Great Book Robbery and In the Shadow of a Man.

During the end of Dor Guez’s multi-media exhibition '40 Days' The Mosaic Rooms hosted a two-day public forum on culture and everyday life in Iraq and Iran. June welcomes the second instalment of Shubbak Festival to London and The Mosaic Rooms programme includes YAYA12, an exhibition of work by the winners and finalists in the 2012 A. M. Qattan Foundation’s Young Artist of the Year Award, showcased in the UK for the first time.
