On 1 April the Centre launched a new phase of Child-Friendly Area: the Al- Samouni project, with 100% funding from the A. M. Qattan Foundation. The project’s aim is to give children living in Al-Samouni, who were subjected to extreme psychological distress during the 2008 war against Gaza, a chance to live normal lives.
The project consists of a number of joint physical and art activities that are held within the community. The Centre led the first launch of the project between 2009 - 2013, with joint funding from the Friends of Waldorf Education, Germany.
