On 17 October, the Centre’s History Teachers’ Forum organised its second meeting which hosted activist, writer and novelist Aisheh Odeh who talked about her novel "For the Sake of the Sun", a sequel of her earlier novel "Dreams of Freedom". Both novels were published by the Palestinian Institute for the Study of Democracy "Muwatin". Odeh stressed the important role of writing in transforming the individual memory into collective memory. She affirmed the necessity of writing the living Palestinian history and relaying to future generations the story of pain and suffering that the Palestinian people have undergone.
