QCERD held a critical review of the novel “Fig Milk”, authored by Palestinian writer Samia Issa. The session was attended by 25 people and included a speech by the writer via video-conference as well as three critical analytical contributions. The first, by Dr Hunaida Ghanem, was entitled “Displacement Outside the Body: the experience of home and femininity in light of the standing tragedy", the second was by writer Ismail Abu Ziyadeh, entitled “Physiological Reflections” and the third ,"The Palestinian Time Dialectic: the sin of whiteness and the darkness of writing" was by Malik Rimawi, Director of QCERD’s Languages and Social Sciences track.
