The Centre recently furnished the library of the Al Maghazi Community Rehabilitation Society (MCRS) and began the first phase of fitting the library with books as part of the “Partnership for Development” project co-funded by Drosos Foundation (Switzerland). This project is one of the long-term partnership projects between the Foundation and community-based organisations to develop their capacities to provide a higher standard of cultural services, as well as building the capacities of librarians at other community organisations in the southern and central Gaza Strip. Furthermore, the project organised cultural and artistic activities to increase the love of reading and more generally to contribute to the overalldevelopment of the cultural and educational sectors, for both children and adults, in the central region and particularly in Maghazi.
