The Lady Mayoress of London Barbara Bear, wife of the Lord Mayor of London, Michael Bear, visited the Foundation in Ramallah on July 5, accompanied by Mrs Anne Marie Fean, wife of the British Consul General in Jerusalem, Sir Vincent Fean. Ziad Khalaf, Executive Director of the Foundation, and members of the Management Committee received them. Ziad Khalaf presented the Foundation and its interventions in culture and education, reviewing some examples of partnerships with leading British institutions, most notably the partnership with the Delfina Foundation, The Royal Court Theatre, as well as the Mantle of the Expert Group, which carries out a joint teacher-exchange programme between Palestine and the United Kingdom. He also pointed out that the Foundation facilitated the negotiation of the first film co-production agreement between the Palestinian Authority and the UK, which still awaits ratification.

Mrs Bear and Mrs Fean also attended three music performances by students from the Gaza Music School transmitted via videoconference, including an Arabic music performance, a jazz apiece and a Classical piano piece.
