Publishing Winning Entries in the Young Writer Competition
The A. M. Qattan Foundation/Culture and Arts Programme and Al-Ahlieh for Publishingand Distribution (Jordan), recently released the winning literary works in theYoung Writer Competition in the fields of poetry and short story for the year2010. The winners in the field of poetry were "Liwa" by Asma’Azayzeh, which won the competition’s prize, and "Less Metaphor"by Dalia Taha, which was recommended for publication by the competition’sjury. In the field of short story, "Typographical Mistake" byIsra’ Kalash and "Cherries or Red Fruit for Cheesecake" bySalim Al-Beik won the competition’s prize. The publication also includedthe 2009 winning literary work of novel "I am Jerusalemite" byAla’a Muhanna, and the 2008 winning literary work of poetry "The Mistake" by Abdullah Abu Shmeis.
