The Programme contributed to supporting artist Abdallah Al Ruzzi's participation in the International Art Competition (Arte Lanuna Prize) in Venice, Italy. The Gazan artist was granted $1,500 to support his travel to Venice where he opened his exhibition on 17 March. Al Ruzzi was awarded second prize in the Programme's 2010 Young Artist Award for his installation work, ’The Germ’.
