The Qattan Centre for Educational Research and Development released two books in the field of drama in education: “The Worlds of Drama: A Framework for Process Drama", by Cecily O'Neill, translated by Issa Bisharah; andDrama for Learning...The Mantle of the Expert Approach in Education for Dorothy Heathcote", by Dorothy Heathcote and Gavin M. Bolton, translated by Issa Bisharah. O'Neill's book is one of the most important publications in the field of drama in education, particularly with regard to the conceptualisation of drama as a process of formation and exploration that engages teachers together with learners. Heathcote and Bolton’s book introduces real experiences and direct practices with children. It blends theory with practice and analysis and presents an important integrated reference on the Mantle of the Expert approach for all teachers, educators and workers in the field of drama. Its publication in Arabic comes a few months after the passing away of Heathcote, the world renowned pioneer in drama in education field, as an acknowledgement of her contribution.
