The Foundation and the Netherlands-based Prince Claus Fund signed a partnership agreement to support cultural initiatives in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. This project, which will be implemented over three years, is the first stage in the planned expansion of the Foundation’s work in the region. The total project budget is EUR310,000; the Foundation will contribute EUR200,000 while the Fund will contribute the remaining EUR110,000. The Foundation has just completed a survey of 45 cultural institutions and initiatives in 12 refugee camps in Lebanon in order to develop an understanding vision of those institutions’ missions, capacities and cultural interventions and help determine the project’s priority interventions.
