On Saturday evening, 6 October 2018, Assabil, the Friends of Public Libraries (Selat: Links through the Arts grant to organisations – 6th edition) organised a Hip Hop and Rap concert event at Théâtre Monnot, Beirut. The concert was performed by the artists Osloob and Gaafar Touffar with a group of amateur youth from Lebanon and Palestinian refugee camps in the country. The concert was a product of an intensive workshop on the foundations of Rap music and recording, held between 1 and 6 October 2018. The workshop was moderated by Osloob and organised by Assabil, the Friends of Public Libraries. It was held in the Faitroun village, Mount Lebanon.
