Home In Qattan News Track … A Project of Culture and Community Engagement

The A. M. Qattan Foundation (AMQF) / The Educational Research and Development Programme (ERDP) organises Track, a project of art and community work. Track project collaborates with people to reproduce a new artistic form of the old city. It provides a way to reintroduce work in line with the concepts of community role and participation.

As a project, Track started as contour lines on a map, then as colours and shapes on walls, and finally developed into concepts and values in the collective memory and individual behaviour.

Track is implemented in the context of the Culture, Art and Community Participation project in collaboration with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). It is implemented and supervised by artist Munther Jawabreh and director Bilal Al Khateeb. In the Qatanna town, the project is coordinated by teachers Mohammed Awadh and Jihan Shamasneh. Track is supervised by Malik Al-Remawi, Manager of the ERDP Languages and Humanities Track, Abd Al Kareem Hussein, ERDP Researcher and Coordinator, and Samah Khawaja, ERDP Assistant Coordinator.
