The Culture and Arts Programme supported a musical performance by students of the Kindi Music Centre in the village of Jet Al-Muthalath, held on 2 April, and continued its support to Loz Akhdar, an event organised by Filistin Ashabab for Cultural Productions, which was held on 25 March at Al-Mawared Bookshop in Ramallah, in cooperation with Tamer Institute.

 

Furthermore, the Programme supported the 10th Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival, which took place from 16 – 25 April and hosted Arab and International dance performances, in addition to a tour of the play In the Shadow of the Martyr, by the late director François Abu Salem, which ran from 3 - 15 March and starred Wasim Kheir. The tour included Metro Al-Madina Theatre in Beirut, and the Palestinian refugee camps of Nahr Al-Bared, Sabra and Shatila, Beddawi, Ain Al-Hilweh, Burj El-Shemali and Sidon.

 

The Programme also provided support to the art exhibition Unacknowledged Playtime, by artist Mohammed Badarneh, held from 30 March to 4 April in the Arab Culture Society in Haifa and Shababik Studio in Gaza, as well as an art exhibition by artist Majd Abdel Hamid entitled The Rhetoric from Within, organised by Al-Ma’amal Foundation in Jerusalem from 27 March to 24 April.
