Starting on 8 June, the Cultural Activities and Programmes Unit at the Centre organised a course in filmmaking, with the aim of introducing the foundations of film making to 8 and 9 year-olds, and training them in cinematic work and camera use. 15 children participated in this 22-hour course that ended on 27 July. The course touched upon a number of cinematic arts concepts, such as script writing, directing, shooting, editing, sound, etc. The children got to enjoy the experience of being a director, scriptwriter, and actor, by producing a four-minute film. The film is due to be screened as part of the celebration of the conclusion of the summer activities in August.
