On 15 January the Qattan Centre's for Educational Research and Development Director Wasim Kurdi participated in the first meeting of the Outstanding Teacher Awards Committee, and presented a speech on the idea behind the awards and their criteria. The four types of awards are: outstanding achievement in education, exceptional creativity in education, outstanding initiative in education, and leadership in education.
The awards, organised by the Hani Qaddumi Scholarship Foundation (HQSF), will honour teachers who have made a special contribution to the fields of learning and education, and bring recognition to the wider role of teachers in society.
