The Public Programme at A. M. Qattan Foundation in collaboraton with Yaa Samar would like to invite performers to apply for the project Everyday Dance in Everyday Spaces (EDES), overseen by curator Samar Haddad King, that will take place between 22nd May – 9th December 2017.
EDES is a series of performances in public spaces intended to deepen the dialogue between local performers and the public through interventions in the city. The design of these performances is deduced from the everyday bodily movements inspired from the streets. Successful applicants will develop their personal projects through a series of workshops, lectures, and discussions that will enable a multidisciplinary approach in designing and realising each of the projects.
Deadline of submissions is 12:00 noon, 22nd March, 2017.
