Music

The summer witnessed a variety of musical events supported by the Programme, ranging from Portuguese Fado concerts in Haifa and Nazareth (with Beit al-mussiqa), ITAR's annual concert in Ramleh and a concert/film series by fj2d String Orchestra organised by Al-Kamandjati Association between August 6 and 16 in the West Bank towns of Hebron, Jenin, Sabastia, Bethlehem, Nablus, Athahiriyya and at the Foundation in Ramallah. A number of musicians' residencies overseas were also supported including Qanun player Wafa Zaghal (Jerusalem) and Nai player Ayham Jalal to the Arabic Music Retreat in the Arab-American Arts C mp (USA) and Nai Barghouti to the Interlochen Summer Arts Camp in Michigan.
