A course on how to use Lego’s Mindstorms software for programming toy robots was held by the Information Technology Unit at the Qattan Centre for the Child between 14-24 January. The course was attended by 12 children under the age of 10, who received 18 hours of training in how to create and programme robots. The Unit also ran a series of winter half term activities, including the YouTube Academy, for encouraging self-directed learning using YouTube, and the Xbox Club, using the Xbox Kinect console.
