The Outreach Services Unit launched a project entitled "Our Summer is Nicer" with support from the Welfare Association. The project targets 450 children of families which lost their breadwinners in the recent Gaza Strip war. The project is implemented in the Beach Club on the Gaza beach during June and July and, in August, at the headquarters of the Qattan Centre for the Child. The initiative runs a variety of cultural, recreational and artistic activities that aim to foster a love of reading, to create an atmosphere of fun and joy, and to promote social interactions among children.
