On 16 August, the Centre launched the second phase of the Comprehensive Development Project for Kindergartens (CDPK) in Jerusalem by conducting a training course for 40 kindergarten educators. The course ran for three days, covering the subjects of education, childhood and what has been termed the “zone of proximal development”, which relates to the difference between what a learner can do without assistance relative to what can be achieved with assistance. The CDPK project is implemented in partnership with the Early Childhood Resource Centre with co-funding from the Arab Fund for Economic & Social Development.
