A pre-recording of Gossip TV was screened in the La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Biennale) - 57th International Art Exhibition. Gossip TV was part of Aleksandr Rodchenko’s artwork Workers’ Club at the V-A-C Foundation’s Space Force Construction, organised with the Art Institute of Chicago.

 

Venice Biennale is the most significant exhibition of contemporary art in the world.

 

Gossip TV is an online TV channel. Through an ongoing project, Gossip TV is the product of a joint workshop with video artist Blake Shaw. The workshop was organised by the Public Programme (PP) of the A. M. Qattan Foundation (AMQF), in partnership with Ramallah Municipulity, in April 2017.

 

Shaw is a media artist who works at the intersection of video, critical pedagogy, telecommunication technology and public space intervention.

 

Participants in the workshop included Mahmoud Matar, Varvra Abdul Razeq, Amjad Khalil, Wafa Mar’i, Rashad Shehadah, Mohammed Habash, and Malak Affounah.
