In collaboration with the Music Fund (Belgium), the Gaza Music School organised its third workshop on the maintenance and repair of the oud and string instruments. Run between 10 - 22 May, it was attended by 11 trainees. Earlier in 2010, the Foundation and Music Fund had opened their first workshop for the maintenance and repair of string instruments at the school’s premises in Gaza, with the aim of developing instrument making, maintenance and repair in the Gaza strip. In addition, the school organised a special concert celebrating the end of the school year on 30 June, during which students participated in performing songs and playing eastern and western music.
