Home In Qattan News 'Footfalls' Opens in Lebanon

On 5 September the play Footfalls by Samuel Beckett opened at the Sunflower Theatre in Beirut. It was directed by the young Palestinian director Yousef Al-Kabra; the lead role was played by Lebanese actress Carole Abboud. More than 250 people including journalists and artists attended the show.

 

Footfalls was developed through a grant from ‘Selat: Links Through the Arts’ in its second round. The play focuses on a woman in her forties living with her sick mother, whom she must assist as both nurse and cleaner.
