A film by Yousef Salhi, produced by A. M. Qattan Foundation to document the journey of the Drama in Education Summer School (DiESS) in its 9th year (23 July – 2 August, 2015), held in Jerash, Jordan.
DiESS hosted around 100 teachers this year from Palestine and the Arab World, with 5 courses on Drama in Education (divided on three gradual modules) and a course on Advanced Playwriting (which mainly targeted DiESS graduates).
DiESS Academic Staff for this year has included Wasim Al-Kurdi, Malik Rimawi, Kefah Fanni, Luke Abbott, Kostantinos Amoiropulos, Maggie Hulson, Brian Woolland and Richard Kieran, in addition to DiESS graduates: Vivian Tannous, Sawsan Meri, Mu’tasem Atrash, Yousef Khawaja.
The courses introduced teachers to Drama in Education, through creating a cross-cultural interactive learning environment.
