The Outreach Services Unit at the Qattan Centre for the Child concluded a community-based initiative entitled Hand-in-Hand as part of the Touch of Sympathy project for the children of Gaza, with funding support from Salam Ya Seghar and the Welfare Association.
This initiative targeted children affected by the storm which had caused flooding and excessive damage in the area over the past month, and was implemented in Al-Mughraqa, Gaza and Jabalya. Many cultural and recreational activities were held for the benefit of children who had been forced to evacuate their homes.
Kindergarten children also participated in the activity and offered presents to the children who had been affected by the storm, including winter clothes.
