The Child Centre - Gaza (CCG) of the A. M. Qattan Foundation (AMQF) implemented a number of artistic and cultural activities in the context of the Beit Byout (Playing House) events of Summer 2017. Of particular note, children participated in the Decoration activity, where they created artistic forms out of simple materials. Children turned these forms into pieces of art, which they used to decorate their personal items.

Children also participated in Sand Drawing, Threads, Ornamentations and other fun artistic activities. These activities created free spaces for children to express themselves through painting and arts.

Children took part in the Hand in Hand activity, which was designed to promote positive behaviours. This activity covered several themes, such as gratefulness and taking the initiative to help others.

The I Read and Play with my Child activity targeted parents and children under six years of age. With their parents, children spent an hour reading and playing together. Using stories and puppets, the activity aimed at encouraging children to read. In this context, parents participated in reading Arabic stories to their children, who acted the stories out using puppets.
