In association with “Rose Issa Projects” in London, The Mosaic Rooms presented "Cairo One Year", the first UK solo show by Egyptian artist Nermine Hammam, between 20 July and 24 August. Hammam's works are intricate composites of layered images and symbols, using a distinctive aesthetic that combines digital manipulation and painting. The exhibition featured two of her most recent work series,"Upekkha" and "Unfolding", which look at the recent civil unrest and uprisings in Egypt. More
