On 17 June, the Al-Maghazi Community Rehabilitation Society’s library concluded a series of children’s arts and culture courses for summer 2013, with nearly 200 children (boys and girls) participating.

These summer courses are part of the Partnership for Development Project, which is co-funded by the Swiss-based Drosos Foundation, and managed by the Qattan Centre for the Child.

The courses cover a wide range of topics including creative writing, painting, music, drama, traditional Dabka, and computer skills. The courses attracted a large number of children and their parents. The library continues to offer a number of arts and culture activities linked to reading, storytelling, computer activities, and painting for children and parents, in addition to film screenings, open mic events, and other fun and instructional activities.
