Abdel Mohsin Qattan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, visited Palestine from 22–31 March during which he met employees of the Foundation and many of the teachers and young artists who have taken part in the Foundation’s programmes and projects. Al-Qattan attended several activities put on by the Foundation and visited the site of the of the Foundation’s future building in Ramallah’s Al-Tireh neighbourhood. He also visited the Yabous Cultural Centre in Jerusalem and took part in the fundraising event there. Further, he participated in launching an independent centre for strategic studies that will produce research on a variety of topics related to the Palestinian issue that will present decision-makers and the general public with solutions and alternatives in an objective and entirely independent manner. In two separate interviews with Palestine Television and al-Ayyam newspaper, Al-Qattan reiterated the importance of Palestinian capital support for the establishment of independent Palestinian developmental organisations. He also underlined the importance of educational and cultural development as well as of social and political rights.
