On 16 July, the Centre concluded activities of the sixth round of its “Drama in Education” Summer School, which is run annually in the city of Jerash, Jordan, in partnership with the Welfare Association and Al-Balad Theatre. Ninety-five male and female teachers participated in this year's event. The School offers a three-year programme focused on utilising drama in school education, in addition to a variety of professional development courses and activities for teachers which run throughout the year, of which the annual intensive two-week programme in Jerash is one. This year's academic team comprised Wasim Kurdi, Malik Rimawi and Sawsan Mar’i from the Centre, in addition to Kostas Amoiropoulos from Greece, Iona Evans from Wales (UK), and Luke Abbott, Richard Kern, Michael Fleming and Maggie Hulson, all also from the UK.
